MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (WABC) — A mother and several of her children were hit by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night in Brooklyn.
The incident happened shortly before 5 p.m. at New York Avenue and Avenue J in Midwood.
Police say a mother and her four children were struck by a vehicle while at least one of the children was getting off a school bus.
Five victims were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
The victims include a 41-year-old mother, a 1-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old son, a 5-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old daughter.
The vehicle fled the scene and was found nearby.

The police continue to search for the driver.
