Denise Richards over the Thanksgiving weekend expressed her gratitude to friends and fans who supported her family nearly two weeks after a driver shot the car she was riding in with husband Aaron Phipers.

“I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone who reached out to me and Aaron during this time,” she wrote on her social media. “We are both very grateful for the safety.”

Richards, 51, sat in the passenger seat while Phypers drove them Ford F-150 to the studio in Los Angeles when there was an incident on the road with the driver of another vehicle.

“Never mind, hope she gets a shot in the neck,” one user wrote, according to Page Six.

“Thank you. I would never wish harm on anyone.” she said on Twitter. “What I went through yesterday with my husband is of no concern to you. It was the most terrifying situation I have ever been in.

“I’m sorry the shot didn’t hit my neck… hole.”

Twitter later removed the user’s tweet after it “violated Twitter’s rules.”
