It’s Nostalgia and So NFT for the 20th Anniversary Bamboozle Festival, May 5-7, 2023 at Bader Field in Atlantic City.
Hip-hop legend Rick Ross, “Mr. Clean” rapper Yung Gravey, nu-metallers Limp Bizket and EDM superstar Steve Aoki were among the first acts announced Nov. 22 for the upcoming festival. The Bamboozle have historically been associated with pop punk and emo, but have not included a frontman until now.
Ross, Gravy, Limp Bizkit and Aoki were referred to as “seniors” in a scholastic-themed announcement on social media. Boys Like Girls, E-Town Concrete, Finch, Jax, Mayday Parade, Saosin, Say Anything, The Spill Canvas, Valencia and We The Kings are “graduates”. Babytron, Diablo, Gideon, Kaonashi, Left To Suffer, Scowl, Sueco, Tallah, Teddy Swims and Wrecks are listed as “freshmen”. Puddles Pity Party is a “class clown”.
Tickets will not be sold. Instead, NFTs or non-fungible tokens are required to gain admission. They will go on sale Friday, November 25th via bamboozlefestival.com. Tickets are $361.11 for regular weekend admission, $914.08 for VIP and $1,827.83 for MVP VIP. Concertgoers are encouraged to open the BAM Wallet app on their phones to receive tokens.
“Thanks to this platform, fans will find low ticket prices and, most importantly, reduced ticket fees,” festival founder John D’Esposito previously said on social media. “NFTs will allow us to send our fans digital and handmade artwork, daily schedules, set times and more. … NFT will also be offering “Easter Eggs” and some great games for all fans to enjoy.
“The future of ticketing is in NFT, not Ticketmaster or any major ticket company. NFTs allow us to interact and be closer to our fans and their experiences.”
