Toson Eubuomwan and the Princeton men’s basketball team marked the star forward’s return to British soil with a victory.

Eubuomwan, a native of Newcastle, England, had 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists as the Tigers beat Army 74-66 in the London Basketball Classic at Copper Box Arena on Thursday afternoon.

Matt Aloka had 15 points and 12 rebounds and Blake Peters had 15 points as Princeton (3-2) won its third straight after an 0-2 start.

The Tigers will face Northeastern in the championship game on Saturday after the Huskies beat Manhattan 69-67 in overtime. Army and Manhattan are playing in the third-place game.

Princeton shot 10-of-35 from beyond the arc, but was 7-of-17 in the second half when it was separated by a 16-1 run. Peters connected on five of nine three-point attempts.

Phillipsburg High product Chris Mann led the Black Knights (2-4) with 19 points.

The four-team competition was originally scheduled for Thursday and Friday, but the second day of games was postponed after England and the USA opened the scheduled World Cup on Friday.
