MORRIS HEIGHTS, BRONX (WABC) — Four members of a family were seriously injured in a fire in the kitchen of their apartment in Morris Heights, Bronx, on Thanksgiving morning.

The fire broke out in a second-floor apartment on Garrison Avenue around 5:30 a.m

Four victims were taken to regional hospitals in a serious condition.

Two were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, one to Bronx Lebanon Hospital and one to Jacobi Medical Center.

Neighbors recognized their mother, father and two daughters.

The cause of the fire, which started in the kitchen, is being investigated, but is not suspicious.
