An 86-year-old woman is the longest (and oldest) flight attendant in the world, according to Guinness World Records

Meet Beth Nash, an 86-year-old American Airlines flight attendant who is recognized as the longest-serving and oldest flight attendant in the world.

Nash, from Boston, has been with American Airlines for 65 years, which in June 2022 was recognized by Guinness as a world record.

She became a flight attendant in 1957.

Nash has been given the option to choose any route she wants and has been loyal to the New York-Boston-Washington shuttle for most of her career, according to ABC’s Sam Sweeney.

Nash chose, and continues to choose, this route because it allows her to be home every night with her son, who has disabilities, and whom she still cares about to this day.

“I fly hundreds of thousands of miles a year, but it’s always the best flights when Beth is on board,” said one passenger.
