The Hillsborough Township Police Department is investigating a serious one-vehicle crash that left the driver with serious injuries, according to the Hillsborough Township Police Department.

At approximately 8:49 a.m. on Nov. 25, police responded to the northbound 206 Bypass between Service Road and Route 206 for a report of an overturned vehicle.

Upon arrival, the driver was found trapped in the vehicle with serious injuries. Hillsborough Fire Department (Stations 36 and 37), along with Robert Wood Johnson EMS (RWJ EMS) and paramedics, freed the driver from the vehicle, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle left the roadway to the right (northbound shoulder) and went up the embankment, where it overturned several times before coming to rest under the Hamilton Road overpass, police said.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center
New Brunswick by RWJ EMS and Paramedics. The accident remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Police Department’s Traffic Bureau.
