DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN (WABC) — Nineteen people were injured, including a firefighter, in a fire Saturday night at an apartment building in downtown Brooklyn.

A fire at the Farragut Homes at 111 Bridge St. began shortly after 11 p.m. in the third floor seal chute,

Sixty firefighters responded to the blaze, which was brought under control just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

The injured were taken to district hospitals.

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, BART riders had to take a bus until the end of the Pittsburgh/Bay Point line.
