Mexican authorities have issued an arrest warrant for an unnamed suspect in the death of an American woman Shankwela Robinson.
The warrant was issued Wednesday by Mexican law enforcement The FBI is leading parallel investigation. The identity of the suspect has not been established.
“This case is fully investigated, we even have a court order, we have an arrest warrant issued for the crime of femicide against the victim and against the alleged perpetrator, her friend, who is the immediate aggressor,” Baja said. He added: “It wasn’t really an argument, it was outright aggression. We are carrying out all the necessary procedures, such as an Interpol alert and a request for extradition to the United States of America.”
Robinson, 25, was found dead in the city of San Jose del Cabo on October 29 after a trip to the resort area with six friends the day before. Mexican authorities say the cause of her death was a severe spinal cord injury. A murder investigation has been launched. This is reported by WBTV.

WBTV reported that the death certificate painted a different picture and described cause of death as a result of “severe spinal cord injury and dislocation of the atlas” along with instability of the first two vertebrae of the neck.
A video that is shared further social networks shows a woman attacking Robinson. WSOC-TV reported that Robinson’s mother identified the people in the video as her daughter’s friends.
“Quela, can you at least fight back?” A man can be heard in the background and another woman can be seen beating up a stripped Robinson.

Mexican officials now believe Robinson received medical attention from a professional before she was discovered by authorities and pronounced dead.
A medical professional reportedly told Robinson’s friends that the 25-year-old was suffering from dehydration and needed to be taken to hospital. Mexican authorities.
How alcohol and the injuries contributed to Robinson’s death is still unclear, as alcohol was reportedly not mentioned on the death certificate.
The certificate added that the approximate time between injury and death was 15 minutes, and the box asking whether the death was “accidental or violent” was marked “Yes.” This is reported by WSOC-TV.
