There were two explosions bus stops in Jerusalem as Israelis drove to work during rush hour Wednesday morning, killing a teenager and injuring at least 14 others.

The 16-year-old boy who died in one of the explosions was identified as Arie Šečapek, Canadian citizen.

“It is with a broken heart that I confirm that a young Canadian has lost his life in a reprehensible terrorist attack in Jerusalem this morning,” Canadian Ambassador to Israel Lisa Stadelbauer tweeted. “Our deepest condolences to his family and friends, as well as others injured in this attack. Canada continues to condemn all forms of terrorism.”

The first explosion went off just after 7:00 a.m. local time at a busy bus station. Israeli police suspect that the bag of explosives was set off remotely. Another explosion rocked the second bus stop a few minutes later, injuring two.
