If you’re in any doubt about New Jersey’s growing role in the film industry, consider that three feature films shot in the state were released on Friday. These are the films “Brothers”, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” and “Smile”.
Filming of Universal Pictures’ romantic comedy “Brothers” took place in Essex, Hudson, Monmouth, Passaic and Union counties. SkyDance Media produced “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” with some filming in Jersey City and Paterson. Released by Paramount, the horror film “Smile” includes scenes shot in Newark and other locations in North Jersey.
The New Jersey Film and Television Commission says more than 45 major projects have been filmed in the state this year, which should help bring in record revenues by the end of the year.
