Daniel West-Augustine has been named the new president of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Public Charter School Association.

She replaces Kyle Rosencrans, who served as interim chairman of the board during the search.

West Augustine is the CEO of Queen City Academy Charter School and has been involved in charter schools for more than two decades.

“Daniel is a tireless advocate for children in New Jersey,” said the president of the New Jersey Charter Charter Schools Association. “Her passion, commitment and experience will enable the NJPCSA to become stronger as an advocacy and political organization so that more families have access to excellent public charter schools.”

The organization represents 87 charter schools across the state, serving 60,000 students.
