The Woodland Behavior Center and Sisterhood Center is still avoiding closure. Federal regulators have threatened to stop funding Medicare and Medicaid if the problem nursing home does not eliminate serious violations that threaten the health and safety of its residents by March 3rd.
On Friday, a spokesman for the Centers for Health Services and Medical Services told NJ Spotlight News that 450 Woodlanders were no longer in “immediate danger.” And now nursing homes have until Aug. 15 to improve the quality of care for their residents or get rid of federal funding.
