A Texas High School softball player went viral last week for a stunt she performed while playing at the plate game

Carthage High School senior Jada Walton found herself in a tough spot as she tried to give her team the edge. She rounded third base and was met by the Central High School catcher at home plate. It should have been easy, but Walton somehow managed to get around the catcher.

Walton escaped the first tag attempt, but missed the plate as she headed home. The catcher appeared to pin down Walton.

However, Walton looked straight into the catcher’s face and pointed the other way. The catcher looked and a split second later, Walton rushed home. She was safe.

“I was actually just hanging around because I thought I was going to get out,” Walton said Guard Panola. “Then I pointed and she looked and I saw it as a scoring opportunity.”

She added that she was even stunned that it worked.

“I was surprised by what I did. I’ve never seen someone cheated like that, then when I was in the dugout, I was screaming and ecstatic,” she added.
