New Jersey’s K-12 school districts will find out how much they will receive or lose state aid in the next fiscal year, now that the Murphy administration has released details on where the state dollars are going. State aid will be reduced in almost 200 districts.
The formula used to fund schools in New Jersey has been a sore spot for areas that are losing funding. While Gov. Phil Murphy says direct aid is a form of property tax easing, some say there is a lack of transparency in the process.
