ROBBINSVILLE — The Robbinsville High boys basketball team opened its season in style.
Tyler Handy scored 18 points, Luke Billings added 15, and the Ravens made it back-to-back wins with a 71-52 win over Trenton Catholic Prep on Saturday afternoon.

Evan Bunnell had 12 points and Pat Kapp had 11 for Robbinsville (2-0), which was coming off an opening-night win at Hamilton West.

Bryson Whitfield scored a game-high 24 points for the Iron Mikes (0-2).

Hightstown 70, Timber Creek 59

MARLTON — Robert Eaves and Keenan Rice combined for 44 points and the Rams (2-0) defeated Timber Creek (1-1) in a game played at Cherokee High.

Eaves had 24 points and Rays had 20. Orlando Hernandez had 11 points and three 3-pointers.

Brian Warren and Sami Anderson each scored 14 points for Timber Creek.

Hopewell Valley 60, Bristol 31

HOPEWELL TWP. — Kevin Ellis scored 12 points, Jake Sanderson added 11, and the Bulldogs (1-1) got into the win column thanks to a balanced performance.

All 10 Hopewell players who entered the game had at least one basket.

Notre Dame 60, East Brunswick 41

EAST BRUNSWICK — Stasher Metelier scored 25 points to lead the Irish (2-0) to their second straight win as they beat the Bears (0-2).
Jake Croce added 10 points as all nine players scored.

Matt Mikulka scored 15 points for East Brunswick.

Steinert 79, Maple Shade 42

MAPLE SHADE — Corey Vassal hit four 3-pointers for 23 points as the Spartans (1-1) used a big first quarter to outscore the Wildcats (0-1).

Joseph Lee scored 12 points and Avery Canato added 10 for Steinert, which bounced back from its opening loss to Trenton.

Alexander Morales had 15 points for Maple Shade.

PDS 64, Nottingham 62

PRINCETON — Jaden Dublin scored 19 points, Jaden Hall added 15, and the Panthers (2-0) held on to beat the Northstars (1-1) in the second half for their second straight win.

Donte Alexander led four Nottingham players in double figures with 19 points. Jacob Dormeville and Jordan Raba each had 13, while Dom Raymond finished with 19.

Jordan Owens added 10 for PDS.

Hamilton West 64, Montgomery 55

SKILMAN — Devin Wright-Miles had 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Hornets (1-1) beat the Cougars (0-2) after an opening night loss at Robbinsville.

Ben Buford scored 15 points and Mekhi Lott added 14 for Brandon Johnson.

Ethan Lynn led Montgomery with 15 points.

Delaware Valley 57, Lawrence 48

LAWRENCE — Francis Denvir had 23 points to lead DelVella (1-0) past the Cardinals (0-2).

Brandon Ford had 16 points and Michael Boiselle had 11 for Lawrence.

Bordentown 76, New Egypt 53

NEW EGYPT — Jack Martin connected on five 3-pointers as part of his 22 points, Andrew DaCosta added 15 and the Scotties (1-0) beat the Warriors (0-1) in the first of the season for both.

Devin Kimmick scored a game-high 26 points for New Egypt.

West Reserve 80, Peddy 51

POTTSTOWN, Pa. >> Niall Coleman scored 20 points and Noah Payne added 11, but the Falcons (3-7) were shorthanded again in the Mercer Invitational at The Hill School.
