Rapper and entertainer Drake reportedly lost $1 million after betting on Argentina to beat France in the 2022 World Cup finals.

In the 90th minute, the game was tied 3-3. Next came Argentina win the match on penalties, however, with the final score 4-2.

The problem was that Drake “had placed a bet in a market where extra time does not count and the result is determined based on the score after 90 minutes of play”. according to Vulture.

If the bet had been successful, the “God’s Plan” singer would have received $2.75 million – a $1.75 million win.
