Several items were stolen from a home on Hodge Road between December 9 and 14. The robbers broke into the house through a bedroom window.
A thief took cash and a purse from a woman’s purse that was hanging from the victim’s chair while she was eating at a restaurant on Witherspoon Street on December 14. The victim’s credit cards were used at a Target store in another city.
A 40-year-old Trenton man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly stealing three bottles of alcohol from a store on North Harrison Street on Dec. 13. At the time of his arrest, he was found to have an outstanding $550 warrant out of Princeton. He was processed and released.
A 29-year-old Kearney man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Hamilton following a Dec. 13 motor vehicle stop on Walnut Lane. He was unable to post bail and was released on his own recognizance.
A would-be burglar tried unsuccessfully to break into a home on Race Street through a rear sliding glass door on December 12. The homeowner was alerted to the attempted break-in through his surveillance system.
