SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn – A man has sexually assaulted a woman at her apartment building in Sunset Park, and police are asking for help from the public in revealing his identity.

The incident began Saturday morning when a 28-year-old woman was exiting the 45th Street subway station near 4th Avenue.

The suspect followed the woman from the subway station to her apartment building nearby and continued to touch himself, making sexual comments towards the victim.

He then grabbed her by the neck, continuing to touch her, and then hit her several times on the face and body.

The suspect fled on foot west on 3rd Avenue.

The victim was taken to New York University’s Langone Hospital in Brooklyn.
