One of the state’s most politically influential unions, Operating Engineers Local 825, backed Republican Tom Keane Jr. to Congress in the 7th arrondissement of New Jersey.

Keane, a former minority leader in the New Jersey Senate, is seeking a nomination from the Republican Party to challenge MP Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes). In 2020, he approached 1% of Malinowski’s dismissal.

“While policies and policies have changed over the years, Tom Keane Jr. has remained steadfast, reliable, and reliable in working-class New Jersey men and women,” said Greg Lalevy, union business manager. “Whether it’s protecting workers’ rights or fighting for additional infrastructure investment, Tom’s support for operator engineers and their families has been unmatched. That is why we offer full support for his election. “

Approval is intended for Republican primaries, but Local 825 does not usually support one candidate in the primaries and another in the general election.
