LAWRENCE – The girls’ basketball team from the University of Notre Dame, which sat at number three, restrained the productive surge of the sixth Robinsville to advance to the Mercer County tournament with a 37-31 victory on Friday in the quarterfinals.
Nicole Villalta-Barrantes led all the scorers, scoring 10 points to direct the Irish to the semi-finals on Tuesday at 3pm at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton.
Hale Besler was supported by eight points by Villetta-Barrantes and seven by Simone Pintinali.
The Ravens scored nine points for three 3-point goals from the field by Eli Neumann, plus eight points from Vanessa Sable and six more from Emily Reagan.
