The most eventful part Monday Night FootballThe Week 8 game featured Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.
Celebrating Halloween, the duo honored the glory days of Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford and Don Meredith old yellow jackets. After a scoreless first quarter, Buck and Aikman called for an increasingly one-sided AFC North matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.
Fans love the jackets and don’t mind seeing them all the time.
“I’m calling on broadcasters to bring back the mesh jackets,” Kevin Clarke from The Ringer wrote. “It’s a good look and usually better than whatever suit the broadcaster was going to wear on their own.
“I wish Joe Buck and Troy Aikman would wear the old yellow ABC Sports jackets every week on Monday Night Football” Gershon Rabinovich wrote on Twitter.
“The best thing about tonight’s #MNF are the vintage blazers worn by Buck and Aikman,” one – wrote a fan.
“Why don’t they wear them every week?” – asked the fan.
“One of the great things about Buck and Aikman on Monday Night Football is that they respect the broadcast and treat it like a big deal.” another fan said. “Since then, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has not had such a thing [Al] Michaels and [John] Madden.”
Buck and Aikman tried to bring some prestige to the Monday night broadcast, but the Bengals didn’t budge. They didn’t find the scoreboard until Joe Burrow threw a touchdown to Tyler Boyd early in the fourth quarter.
The Browns will look to protect their 25-6 home advantage.
