SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in searching for suspects who fled the scene of a fatal multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Beekman Road near Old Beekman Road Thursday afternoon, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
After receiving 911 calls about the crash, police responded to the scene and saw four vehicles.
The backseat passenger of one vehicle, a Dodge Charger, was killed, but the driver of that vehicle fled on foot.
Three people in the other cars were injured, one in a serious condition.
The identity of the deceased is not being released until relatives are notified.
Authorities determined the Dodge Charger was leaving the crime scene and crashed into three other vehicles. Those vehicles were not connected to the crime committed by the Charger suspects, police said.
A search of the area was conducted using a K9 and several officers, but the driver was not located.
Authorities are also asking for the public’s help in locating a dark sedan that was in the area at the time of the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to call South Brunswick police. Garrison at 732-329-4000 ext. 7486 or Det. Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Berman at 732-745-4328.
