So far, 94,000 bivalent COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered in New Jersey. But the footage may be a harder sell after President Biden told CBS on Sunday, “The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with COVID. We are still working on it a lot. But the pandemic is over. If you notice, no one is wearing a mask, everyone seems to be in pretty good shape.”

Epidemiologist Stephanie Silvera of Montclair State University said, “I think it’s getting harder to convince people to get a bivalent booster. I think it becomes harder to get people to listen when we talk about what risks still exist.”

New Jersey reported 1,474 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and 12 deaths. About 400 people die daily from this disease in the American state of New Jersey. Health officials are reminding residents that it may seem like the pandemic is over, but COVID-19 remains a threat.
