BERLINGTON – A strong second half helped the New Egypt women’s basketball team bypass Burlington City to earn a share of the Burlington County Scholastic League’s Freedom Division crown with a 43-32 victory on Friday.
Head coach Jay Corby “Warriors” ended the league match with “Palmyra”.
Both teams won 9-1 in the Freedom Division game this winter.
Mikaela Weber’s 13 points secured New Egypt. Next came Emily Byrne with eight points.
Anisa Artis was in the lead among the scorers, scoring 16 points in “Blue Devils” head coach Chris Kingston.
