The North Brunswick Public Library announces a virtual seminar on cryptocurrency and secure investment from the New Jersey Securities Bureau.
Cryptocurrency is a relatively new asset class that Merriam-Webster defines as “any form of currency that exists only in digital form, usually without a central issuer or regulator (such as government or bank), but instead uses a decentralized system to records. deal and manage the release of new units ”.
But what is a cryptocurrency? Is cryptocurrency a real form of currency? Is it safe to use cryptocurrency or invest wisely in it?
Arlene Ferris-Wax, director of investor education at the New Jersey Securities Bureau, New Jersey Attorney General, will present an informational talk at 6:30 p.m. on April 11 with basic information on how cryptocurrency works and how to invest safely in it.
It will also focus on topics such as bitcoin mining, various cryptocurrencies, opening a cryptocurrency account and NFT.
