Kenny Beats has announced his debut album Louis, will be released on August 31, 2022. Sharing the album’s artwork and tracklist, the star producer explained that he recorded most of the album after learning that his parents had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Connecting with my father through art, Louis serves as a symbolic gift for the father.
“I’ve always said I’m not going to record a solo album because I don’t have anything to say. I finally did it.” —Kenny Beets wrote in a press release.
“Something dark turned into something beautiful. This album captured the feeling of that one month.”
The world still has a few days to hear Louis completely, but some of the close collaborators and friends of the producer had the opportunity to hear the project earlier. Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive tweeted who heard it as it “was heard.” He shared a picture of a cassette player, headphones and a photo, and shared some fire emojis along with the release date.
