Actor Johnny Brown, who played construction manager Nathan Bookman in the 1970s sitcom “Good Times,” has died, according to an Instagram post by his daughter Sharon Brown.

He was 84 years old, he died on March 2, his daughter said.

“It’s too scary. It will never happen. It’s a shock. It’s literally taken out of our lives. It’s not real for us yet,” Sharon Brown, actor and composer, wrote on Friday. “So there will be more to say, but not now. Dad was absolutely the best. We love him very much.”
