Trenton, New Jersey (WABC) – New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday will present his budget proposal for next fiscal year.

The governor has postponed the budget address for two weeks to give more time to reduce the number of COVID cases so he can deliver a speech in person for the first time in two years.

The budget includes real estate tax relief program announced last week.

The ANCHOR property tax relief program will distribute a $ 900 million property tax benefit to nearly 1.8 million homeowners and tenants nationwide.

Murphy said the budget aims to make New Jersey “stronger, fairer and more affordable.”
