Z the first Monday of October fast approaching, many of us solo and small firm lawyers are looking forward to a divided court that does not speak for us or many of our clients. In particular, many individual and small firm lawyers have had to deal with dire consequences Dobbs v. Jackson and the trickle-down effect it has on matters such as genetic counseling, estate planning and same-sex couples, data privacy and employment.

To me, the first Monday in October seems like the perfect day for those of us with law firms to make our presence known and remind us of the Dobbs Court’s encroachment on many, many more constituencies than women planning to terminate their pregnancies. So, law firm owners, please join me and MyShingle on the steps of the Capitol on Monday, October 3, 2022, for a quick meeting for individual professional photos and to discuss the impact of the Dobbs cases and other Supreme Court cases (such as the problematic the main questions of teaching Art West Virginia v.
