NEWARK (WABC) — Firefighters battle a blaze at a home in Newark.

Officials say the fire broke out on South 19th Street around 7 a.m. The flames charred the upper part of the house.

Two other nearby houses were also destroyed by fire. At least 15 adults and one child were evacuated from the scene, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

Fire officials are still working to get the fire under control.
