Crime in New York: A man found fatally shot in the lobby of an apartment building in Bensanhurst, Brooklyn

BENSANHERST, Brooklyn (WABC) – A 43-year-old man was found shot dead in the lobby of an apartment building in Bensanhurst, Brooklyn.

Police were called to the scene at Bay Park on Thursday around 11:30 p.m.

The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The man did not live in the building. His name has not been released, pending family notice.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.

Investigators are looking for three men who fled in a four-door sedan south on Bay Parkway.

A woman wanted by police for pushing her beloved grandmother, who later died of her wounds, surrendered to police on Tuesday.
