Two children died and four others were injured in a house fire on Staten Island. Two of the victims are still fighting for their lives. The oldest person in the house at that time was a 14-year-old boy.

A full investigation is currently underway following a fire in the engine room of the Staten Island Ferry that resulted in the rescue of 800 people from the boat. The district president said early indications are that the fire may have been caused by a leaking oil tank, and he wants the tanks checked on all vessels.

House passes $1.7 trillion spending bill to help Ukraine

A $1.7 trillion spending bill to fund federal agencies through September and provide additional aid to ravaged Ukraine cleared the House of Representatives on Friday as lawmakers scramble to wrap up their work for the year and avoid a partial government shutdown. The bill passed mostly along party lines, 225-201. It must now be signed by President Joe Biden.

The Mega Millions jackpot is over $500 million

The jackpot for tonight’s Mega Millions drawing is approximately $510 million! The jackpot increased after no one won the top prize in Tuesday night’s drawing. The $510 million prize is the second largest Mega Millions jackpot this year.
