Coughlin calls for civility in the House | Video

Last month, the Assembly voted in favor of a new gun control bill, but only after a long, intense and bitter debate on the floor. Assemblyman Brian Bergen (R-Morris) used profanity caught on microphone when he mentioned bill sponsor Assemblyman Joe Danielson (D-Middlesex).

The incident was an example of what Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin called increasingly harsh and personal attacks on House business. Coughlin says he’s had enough and urges his colleagues to restore civility to Trenton.
