NEW YORK (WABC) – In this episode of “Close Up,” Dr. Dave Chokshi joins us as he intends to step down as New York City’s health commissioner.

Dr. Chokshi has been the city’s health commissioner for the past year and a half during the worst COVID pandemic.

On Monday, he retires and returns to full-time medicine, but before leaving, Dr. Chokshi discussed where we stand in the fight against the virus and where to go next.

Also ahead we welcome Aaron Katersky of the ABC, who played an important role in covering the crisis in Ukraine.

We talk to him about what he saw and heard, and about his thoughts on what is happening now.
