The Denver Broncos have chosen a coach to lead them through the remaining two games of the season after firing head coach Nathaniel Hackett following a 4-11 record in his first year.
According to ESPN, senior assistant coach Jerry Rosburg, a longtime assistant with the Baltimore Ravens who was brought in to help Hackett with game management, will serve as head coach.
Rosburg’s addition to the Broncos’ coaching staff came a couple of weeks into the new season after it became clear Hackett had trouble using the watch for your benefit.

The first instance was in their Week 1 primetime matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, where the Broncos didn’t use their timeouts before sending Brandon McManus on a 64-yard field goal attempt that was missed to to start the season at 17-16. losses.
Then, just one week later, the Broncos continued to rack up game penalties, which later led to the home crowd chanting for the game clock to count down. Rosburg’s management helped curb those blunders a bit, but Hackett’s inability to take the reins in those moments probably factored into the Broncos’ decision to part ways.
