MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) – Two employees were stabbed at the Museum of Modern Art on Saturday afternoon, police said.

According to police, the suspect came to the museum around 4:15 p.m. and stabbed two officers. They say the suspect was a member of the museum and had just received a letter of revocation the day before. The man wanted to watch the movie, jumped over the reception desk and started the attack and stabbed the staff in the back, collarbone and neck.

Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they are in stable condition and are expected to be all right.

Police say they know who the suspect is because they are looking for him in connection with two previous incidents in Midtown. Museum staff also know the suspect, as he is a regular at the museum. According to surveillance footage, he fled the museum after the attack.
