A Louisiana toddler received an onion as a prank gift for Christmas – and he absolutely loved it

LOUISIANA — There were no tears when a toddler in Louisiana received a humorous holiday gift.

Little Wesley’s mum said the boy was really looking forward to Christmas and thought it would be funny if he opened a gift with a gag.

A gift? Onion!

It turned out, Wesley was only too grateful for such a prank.

Video obtained by Eyewitness News shows the little boy’s excitement as he unwraps the incredible gift. “Hooray! Onion!” he said.

His mom said he actually continued to play with the onion for the next couple of days.

“He’s such a grateful, loving baby,” mom told Storyful. “We are blessed.”
