A California A bail agent who was shot in the face while tracking a suspect from a warrant has recovered, officials said.
Refugee agent Jesse Nunez and his partner tried to detain the suspect on Friday after they were told his whereabouts when the quarrel took place, FOX 5 of San Diego reported.

According to them, Nunez and his unidentified partner were told that the suspect had fled the warrant to an empty building in El Cajon when they were harassing him and trying to subdue him.
“At some point in time strugglewe repeatedly inflicted electric shocks on him, which were not effective, “Nunez said.

During their fight, the suspect used firearms against the agents and fled the scene, FOX 5 reported.

“During the fight, he pulled out a firearm and shot me once in the cheek, which came out of his left ear,” added Nunez, who was taken to hospital and has since recovered, according to Fox 5.
As of Friday evening and until Saturday morning, the suspect, who is wanted for “drug trafficking and a criminal who kept a firearm while storing drugs,” is still evading officers.
