BoroSAFE, Hillsboro’s non-governmental organization dedicated to mental health and suicide prevention, will hold its second annual virtual mental health fair “Hope for Tomorrow” from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on February 23rd.
This free event will feature a keynote speaker, 10 options for breakout sessions on a variety of mental health topics and trivia with prizes.
Scott Prendergast, speaker at Minding Your Mind, will share his personal story as keynote speaker. His presentation “Changing Consciousness: Stories through Stigma” reflects BoroSafe’s mission to offer hope, provide resources, and reduce the stigma that is often associated with mental health issues.
In addition to the keynote speaker, various mental health experts from the community will present breakout sessions on topics such as improving family communication, emotion management, nutrition, yoga, art therapy and more.

BoroSafe’s mission is to provide access to mental health resources, emotional well-being best practices, and suicide prevention resources throughout the Hillsboro community. This event is organized jointly with the initiative of the Hillsborough Community without Stigma and the Hillsboro Educational Association.
