The Krasny Bereg District Education Council of the regional high school has approved a budget of $ 34.1 million, which will fund the work of the Krasnoberezhny district secondary school in the 2022-23 school year.
Residents of Red Bank, Little Silver and Shrewsbury Bora attend a high school located in Little Silver. The high school enrolls students from other municipalities on a fee basis.
The budget for the next school year, which was adopted by the council on April 27, will be backed by a $ 26.8 million tax levy to be paid by homeowners in commercial and commercial real estate in Red Bank, Little Silver and Shrewsbury.
Of the total tax collection of $ 26.8 million, Red Bank property owners will pay $ 12.9 million, Little Silver property owners will pay $ 7.62 million, and Shrewsbury property owners will pay $ 6.32 million, according to the budget document.

Reducing the tax rate on regional high schools – as in all three sending municipalities for 2022-2023 – does not necessarily mean that an individual will pay less taxes to the district of the Red High School Regional High School over the next year. The amount of taxes payable depends on the tax rate and the appraised value of the property of the individual.
The school district’s budget for 2021-22 was $ 33.9 million and was supported by $ 26.8 million in tax levies.
From 2021-22 to 2022-2023, total appropriations increased by $ 200,000, while the tax collection remained the same.

State aid to the school district has been increasing every year since the adoption in 2018 of state legislation known as the S-2.
