Sometime between Jan. 9 and Jan. 14, someone broke a back window in the basement of a home on Mercer Street. Once inside the home, the alleged thief broke down two interior doors and stole various items belonging to the victim.

Two rear tires on a vehicle owned by a resident of Billy Ellis Lane were punctured by a sharp object while the vehicle was parked outside the victim’s home. The incident was reported on January 10.

The vandal spray-painted the number plates on the front door of the Princeton-Kingston Road home and scrawled illegible symbols on the hood of the victim’s car while it was parked in the driveway. The report of criminal mischief was received on January 8.

A 32-year-old Princeton man was charged with driving under the influence after police received a report of an erratic driver on Route 206 / State Road on Jan. 6. The man was processed and released.

Several sets of heavy equipment and vehicle keys were stolen from the River Road site shared by the Princeton Public Works Department and the Princeton Sewer Department. The incidents of burglary, theft and indecent entry became known on January 5.

Someone stole a $295 watch from a store on Nassau Street. The theft was reported on January 4.
