OPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTEN (WABC) – One man was seriously injured in a fire that blew smoke through a townhouse in the Upper West Side.

The victim was found in a fifth-floor apartment in the Amsterdam Avenue residential complex just before 3 a.m. Tuesday.

It is reported that the resident is in serious condition.

Firefighters conducted a search of a 13-storey building that is part of the Amsterdam Houses city complex, after residents reported smoke.

No other residents were found.
