A 32-year-old Trenton woman was arrested Jan. 22 on an outstanding warrant out of Hopewell Township after she was pulled over by the Flemington Borough Police Department. She was turned over to Hopewell Township police, processed and transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center on the warrant.
A 34-year-old Trenton man was arrested on two outstanding warrants totaling $1,100 after a Jan. 22 motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released.
A Federal City Road resident reported that someone dropped an old wooden table in front of their driveway. The incident with an unauthorized dump became known on January 19.
A Diverty Road resident reported that someone stole a check he mailed and then changed the payee’s name and check amount and cashed it. The check was written for $1,841.80 but was changed to $4,841.80. The incident was reported on January 19.
A 58-year-old Westhampton man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking $464.38 worth of items from the ShopRite on Pennington Circle on Jan. 19. CCTV captured him leaving the store without paying for the goods and getting into a car. Police were able to identify the license plate and track the person on it.
A woman was scammed out of $2,000 after she was told her iPad had been hacked. She called the phone number on the message and was told to buy $2,000 worth of gift cards. She gave the gift card code to the suspect over the phone. The incident became known on January 15.
On Jan. 15, a woman called Hopewell Police Department headquarters to report that her credit card, which had been lost in November 2022, had been used to make purchases totaling $9,645 at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania.
On Jan. 12, someone stole a bicycle valued at $500 that had been left unlocked in a bike rack outside the Hopewell branch of the Mercer County Library System on Pennington-Titusville Road.
Someone stole a wallet that the victim left behind after an appointment at Capital Health – Hopewell Medical Center on January 10. The victim realized the wallet had been left behind and returned to the office to find it had been stolen.
Two men stole $361.61 worth of merchandise from the ShopRite on Pennington Circle on Jan. 10. Store employees said one man entered the store and was seen taking various items while the other man stood near the entrance. The two men got into the car and drove off.
On Jan. 10, a man and a woman entered the ShopRite on Pennington Circle and stole numerous items totaling $597.33.
A Trenton man who allegedly refused to leave Capital Health – Hopewell Medical Center was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 9 after police responded to a call. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for $500 from the city of Trenton. He was processed and released.
