PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – Police are investigating a fatal accident on a bicycle on Saturday afternoon in North Philadelphia.

The incident took place just before 3:30 pm in the 1,400th block of Norris Street.

Police say a Yamaha motorcycle was riding south on Broad Street, approaching Norris Street on the sidewalk.

The silver jeep was moving north on Broad Street, making a left turn on Norris Street when it came in contact with a motorcyclist.

The driver of the jeep remained at the scene.

A 30-year-old man on a motorcycle was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

There are no detentions at the moment.
