UNIVERSAL CITY, LOS ANGELES – A Universal Studios Hollywood performer was rushed to the hospital after a stunt accident was reported Monday afternoon.

According to a spokesperson for Universal Studios Hollywood, it happened during an afternoon performance. Initial reports indicated a possible drowning, and Los Angeles County Fire officials said the man required CPR upon arrival.

“Our thoughts are with him as he receives help,” the spokesman said. “Details of the event are being clarified.”

A witness who spoke to Eyewitness News said it all happened during a WaterWorld performance. According to him, the performer was on one of the towers and fell into the water during the performance.

A witness told ABC7 other workers noticed he was missing and went into the water to pick him up.

Video obtained by Eyewitness News shows several people dragging the performer to the backstage area.

The witness said the show was abruptly canceled and guests were escorted out.

The condition of the performer is still unknown.
